Violin Lessons

Teaching Method

Throughout my violin lessons, I use a variety of effective method books that are sure to get my students to their desired goals—whether they are beginners or more advanced. The main book I use to start off with, however, is the violin method book “Essential Elements.”

The rest of the books I use include (but are not limited to): “The Young Violinist,” the Suzuki method book, scales and etude books, Disney books, and other popular music and holiday books for special occasions. I am also in the process of writing my own method book for the violin. Be on the look out for it soon!

Rates & Policies

Lessons are to be paid on the 1st and the 15th day of each month (each payment will include two weeks of classes). Classes will not be given until payment is received. Thank you for your cooperation.

Lesson Rates: 

• 1/2 hour lesson = $25

• 1 hour lesson = $40

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policies:

If you must reschedule your child’s lesson, I need to be notified within 24 hours of their scheduled lesson time—I charge for any lessons skipped, cancelled, or unable to be attended for any reason after this time period. Exceptions to this policy include:

• If your child becomes sick the day of his/her lesson. You may notify me before their scheduled lesson time and reschedule your child’s lesson without losing your credit. 

• An unforeseen family emergency; you may reschedule the lesson at your convenience.

If you cancel within 24 hours or more, you will be able to reschedule the lesson without losing the deposit, but please do not consistently cancel or reschedule lessons, as this interrupts the student’s learning process.

If a lesson is canceled, for whatever reason, I encourage make-up lessons (preferably the same week as the canceled lesson). It is your responsibility to schedule make-up lessons with me.

​If I need to re-schedule or cancel your child’s lesson, I will let you know at least 24 hours in advance by phone or email, unless a personal emergency arises. I will contact you to make up the lesson.

Parental Involvement:

I encourage you, parents/guardians, to become part of your child’s learning experience because I know the importance that parental support has on achievement. Therefore, you are always welcome to observe the lessons as long as your child is comfortable with that.
